Outlook

Early cloud clearing to sunny spells. Turning colder.

Today: Early cloud and any light rain clearing south through the morning, A mainly fine afternoon follows with sunny spells. However, it will be feeling cooler than of late, especially in the developing breeze. Perhaps the odd coastal shower later. Maximum Temperature 9C.

Tonight: Cold with clear spells and brisk winds. Showers are possible, mainly along the coast at first, but likely extending further inland through the night, especially after midnight. Minimum Temperature 3C.

Monday: Fine, and cold with sunny spells. Showers continuing at first, but becoming restricted to coasts by the afternoon. However, the brisk winds will continue to add to the chilly feel. Maximum Temperature 8C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: Cold start Tuesday, before cloud and rain, spreads south and east. Staying cold Wednesday and Thursday, with occasional coastal showers, perhaps wintry at times. Occasionally windy, particularly Wednesday. Overnight frosts.

UK Outlook for Thursday 20 Nov 2025 to Saturday 29 Nov 2025: A cold northerly flow will affect the UK initially, with widespread overnight frosts, below average temperatures and frequent wintry showers, these primarily in exposed northern, eastern and western coastal counties, but may feed farther inland in some places. Towards the end of the week and beyond, a transition to a milder but more unsettled regime is likely, as Atlantic frontal systems track eastwards across or near the UK. This will bring a chance of more widespread spells of rain or showers at times, perhaps with some occasional hill snow in the north, and the risk of some strong winds. Temperatures will tend to fluctuate from day to day, but overall will likely be close to average.

UK Outlook for Sunday 30 Nov 2025 to Sunday 14 Dec 2025: Whilst there is a lot of uncertainty as to the flavour of weather affecting the UK into December, there is a greater chance than normal of slower evolving weather patterns. This could bring rain or showers with hill snow also a possibility, mainly in the north. However, there are also likely to be periods of high pressure at times, bringing more in the way of dry weather, which would increase the chance of overnight fog and frost. Overall, temperatures close to average are most likely, but some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
