Outlook

Sunny spells developing

Today: Largely cloudy at first with perhaps a few outbreaks of rain, however otherwise mainly fine with sunny spells developing from late morning. Risk of a few showers close to the Norfolk coast. Breezy for much of the day. Maximum Temperature 19C.

Tonight: Some clear spells initially but cloud building from the west through the evening with rain arriving early Wednesday morning. Winds easing for a time but becoming breezy again by dawn. Minimum Temperature 10C.

Wednesday: Unsettled with cloud and rain for much of the day, persistent and at times heavy during the morning, with drier interludes developing later. Breezy. Maximum Temperature 20C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Breezy on Thursday with sunny spells and remaining largely dry. Winds ease on Friday, but becoming mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain developing, turning heavy at times on Saturday.

UK Outlook for Saturday 20 Sep 2025 to Monday 29 Sep 2025: The broadly unsettled conditions look to continue during the first part of this period. All areas are likely to see some further spells of wet and at times windy weather, interspersed with brighter, showery interludes. By the start of the following week, a ridge of high pressure may extend eastwards towards the UK, bringing an increasing chance of longer periods of drier weather to northern areas initially, whilst low pressure remains closer to the south or southeast. Towards the end of this period, high pressure may be rather more dominant across the UK. A cooler interlude is likely for a time through next week, with chilly nights and fog patches likely under the influence of high pressure. Temperatures probably return closer to average by late September.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 30 Sep 2025 to Tuesday 14 Oct 2025: Signals for prevailing weather patterns become fairly limited by the turn of the month and the early part of October. As is typical at this time of year, there are likely to be some spells of wet and windy weather along with some drier interludes but no strong preference to whether settled or unsettled regimes will be most dominant. Overall, northwestern parts are more likely to be wettest and windiest. Temperatures likely fluctuating around average.
